Getting Started
Welcome to Halo, our real time test results reporting dashboard. In this section, you'll find a number of guides covering the various dashboard functions, helping you to get the most from your test runs and reports.
Setup
To use Halo you can create an api key. Then add this api key to the reporting configuration, either when running through the command line, or via Flare. When dashboard reporting is enabled, you will see the results of your tests via the overview page, the dashboard itself and also the test run report.
Reporting Configuration
When pushing results to a dashboard, their appearance in Halo is also configurable.
You can customise the unique labels for your run, this could be something like nightly regression
or critical tests
.
Then following this you can add up to 8 of these test runs to a summary dashboard shown.
Summary dashboards are a great way for team members to collate related sets of run data in a central view to display or share. Create, Share and Delete at will!
Failing tests
When you see failing feature tests on a dashboard, you can simply click through to access a lower level test run report with a full stack trace.
In the test run report for a failed test, you can immediately raise a Jira bug whereby the full stack trace and failure detail is already conveniently captured for you.
For test result trend analysis, you can create an email report. This is configurable via the Admin > Email reports tab from the main Halo menu and can be used to build weekly and monthly reports, for single or multiple test runs, with a email distribution list of your choice.
