Before you attempting to use Flare, please ensure that you have completed the full Spark setup successfully.

Create a project

After installing Flare, you will then need to sign in as a member of your organisation, upon which you have the options to create or open a project.

Feature Selection

Once a project is created/opened, you can review either example or project tests and add run inclusion/exclusion tags with the feature selection functionality. If you created a new project you will see a quickstart demonstration set of tests with which to explore the various configuration options open to you at runtime.

Configuration

After making a test selection, click next and you will be taken to the runtime configuration screen. Use this screen to define your test run configuration.

For example:

  • Do you need a browser?
  • If so, which?
  • Would it be local or do you wish to use one of our vendor integrations?
  • Do you need to clear cookies each time or resize the browser?
  • Do you wish to run an accessibility or a visual test?

These are the types of configuration parameters you can establish on this screen.

Reporting Configuration

Select next a final time and you will see the reporting configuration screen, where you can choose the types of reports you wish to receive during and after your test run.
